100% cotton, woven on an industrial jacquard loom in the USA. The image is built from coloured cotton threads — nothing printed, nothing applied. It cannot fade, peel or crack, because there is no layer to come off.
Fully reversible with a colour-inverted back and a decorative 2" fringe. Personalize with a name, date or short quote — woven in, free.

About this design
"Death to the World" is not a message of darkness. It comes from the Orthodox monastic tradition and means dying to sin and to the passions of this world, in order to live for Christ. St. Paul wrote: "The world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world" (Galatians 6:14).
In Orthodox tradition, the skull and crossbones represent Adam. Tradition holds that Adam was buried at Golgotha, the Place of the Skull, beneath the Cross of Christ. Where the first man was buried, Christ trampled down death by death. Orthodox monks of the Great Schema wear this same symbol on their habit as a daily reminder: remember death, live for Christ.
Every symbol is woven into the cotton itself, so it will never fade or peel.
